LVDS (low voltage differential signal) cables are often used as an economical way to connect TFT displays to the driver board. With low power consumption, LVDS cables use twisted-pair wires to transmit signals from the PCB to the display at a distance of up to 10 meters.
The Connectors are usually fine pitch, usually less than 1 mm, so they can accept small gauge wires. This results in a very low profile and flexible cable assembly, allowing routing through the tightest unit.
