The function of the terminal block: The composition of the terminal block is relatively simple. It consists of a piece of metal enclosed in insulating plastic, with holes at both ends for inserting wires, or screws for fastening/releasing. For example, between two wires, sometimes they need to be connected, and sometimes they need to be disconnected. Here you can use terminals to connect them instead of welding them or twisting them together.

Types of terminal blocks: As far as the current market is concerned, terminal blocks can be divided into: European terminal series, plug-in terminal series, transformer terminal series, spring-type terminal series, track terminal series, etc.
From the material aspect, generally speaking, the material can be divided into two major parts:
One is the plastic parts, which must have good flame retardancy, which is the flame retardant rating of UL94V-0; the simpler test method here is to ignite with an open flame. If the plastic part leaves the open flame and goes out, it means that the terminal has a good The flame retardant properties.
The second is the crimping frame. Many customers often say whether the terminal is copper or not, and this refers to the crimping frame. Generally speaking, the copper frame has a more angular texture than the iron ore. If you are not at ease, you can disassemble the plastic part and take out the crimping frame for further inspection.
