TE Custom Cable

1 - MOLEX terminal connector 430251400

There are 14 PINs in the terminal connector, 7 PINs for each row. Alltogether, only 6 PINs will be used, while the other PINs will remain empty.

To attach the elettrical cables to the terminal connector, we chose MOLEX 0430300001 fastons.

Please have a look at the picture Pic. 1 to check for the used PINs and the required cable colors. Given that the terminal connector hook is in the upper position with the holes in which the PINs will be inserted in front of you, the PINs will be labeled starting from PIN 1 in the top left corner of the connector.

PIN2 (upper row, position 2) will be hosting a white cable

PIN7 (upper row, position 7) will be hosting a black cable

PIN8 (bottom row, position 1) will be hosting a brown cable

PIN9 (bottom row, position 2) will be hosting a blue cable

PIN10 (bottom row, position 3) will be hosting a yellow cable

PIN14(bottom row, position 7) will be hosting a red cable

2 – Signal cables

Brown, white and blue cables must be 1 meter long. These three cables will be grouped in a sheath of 88 cm, which will leave unsheated about 2 cm of cables around the MOLEX black connector, while there will be about 10 cm of unsheated cables around the red connector (927367-1) and the brown connector (927368-1)

The cables will be inserted in the brown (927368-1) and red (927367-1) connectors using 925590-1 fastons(TE Connectivity AMP Connectors)

3 – Terminal connector AMP 927368-1

Brown cable must be inserted in brown connector. Brown connector has its PIN positions labeled on the connector; the cable must be inserted in position 8 (see picture above)

4 – Terminal connector AMP 927367-1

White cable must be inserted in position 5 of the red connector, while blue cable must be inserted in position 7. A short blue cable must be used as a jumper to connect PIN 7 and 8.

5 – Power wiring

Black, red and yellow cables must be 1 meter long.These three cables will be grouped in a sheath of 83 cm, which will leave unsheated about 2 cm of cables around the MOLEX black connector, while there will be about 15 cm of unsheated cables around the white connector (927365-1).

On the red cable, near the white (927365-1) connector, it must be installed a 4 Amp fuse with an electric gasket (see picture below).

Black, red and yellow cables must all be attached in the white connector with 925590-1 fastons.

6 – Terminal connector AMP 927365-1

A different cable, for a total of 8 different cables, must be inserted in each PIN of the white connector.

In addition, our red cable must be inserted in PIN1, yellow cable must be inserted in PIN3 and black cable must be inserted in PIN6.

Color of the 8 cables: In the provided picture we used white cables, however we would like the colors to follow this scheme:

- Cable inserted in PIN1: red

- Cable inserted in PIN3: yellow

- Cable inserted in PIN6: black

- Other cables: any striped-colored cable you prefer, as long as each PIN has a different color

The cables will be inserted in the white connector (927365-1) using 925590-1 fastons.

7 – Cables to forward white connector port

All of the 8 cables inserted in white connector (927365-1) must be about 20 cm long.The colors of these cables follow the rules provided in point 6. These 8 cables will be grouped in a sheath of 16 cm, which will leave unsheated about 2 cm of cables around both ends. The cables will be inserted in the 969191-1 connector using 2-962916-1 fastons

8 – Terminal connector AMP 969191-1

All of the 8 cables described in point 6 must be inserted in this connector by following the original position on the white connector (927365-1). The goal of this connector is to provide an additional device as if it were inserted directly in the port in which the white connector will be inserted. Therefore, it is important that the cable will be inserted in the same order.
